HAVRE, Mont. - The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and its partner Riverside Contracting will be completing pavement reconstruction activities along a section of Secondary Highway 232 (S 232), commonly known as Wild Horse Trail, near Havre.

Project improvements will include wider shoulders, straighter curves, flatter grades, and new pavement from 4th Avenue North to Road 445 North. Construction is anticipated to begin at both ends of the project area with crews working their way toward the middle. Crews plan to work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather and other unforeseen factors permitting.

The traveling public should watch for flaggers and reduced speeds throughout the construction area. Two-lane traffic will be maintained throughout the majority of the project with single-lane traffic required intermittently and accompanied by signal lights and a pilot car. No width restrictions are in place at this time. New project information will be posted to the project website as it becomes available. Those interested can also sign up for weekly construction email and text updates on the project website.
