Work includes:
- Removing and replacing the asphalt pavement on the shoulders, some sections of the roadway, and cattle guards on interchange ramps
- Rehabilitating bridges including bridge deck repairs, bridge deck sealing, and upgraded barriers
- Adding new shoulder rumble strips, signage, roadside markers, and upgraded guardrail
- Applying a seal and chip cover (chip seal) and final pavement markings
- Mitigating a potential rock fall near Bozeman Pass
Both eastbound on- and off-ramps at Exit 324 (Flynn Creek Road) will be closed April 14 and 15. Both westbound on- and off-ramps at Exit 324 will be closed April 15 through 17. The eastbound on-ramp and westbound off-ramp at Exit 319 (Jackson Creek Road) will be closed April 18. Motorists wishing to use these ramps will need to plan an alternate route during ramp closures.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction and speed limits will be reduced. A width restriction will be in place throughout the construction work zone. Visit 511mt.net for the most up-to-date information on width restrictions and other traffic control.
