MISSOULA, Mont.– The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), along with construction partner Streamline Markings, Inc., will begin epoxy striping on approximately 90 miles of Interstate 90 (I-90) this week.

Crews will apply epoxy striping in sections along I-90: from Clinton to Bearmouth, just west of Drummond to Phosphate, and from Taft to Saltese.

Work will include removing existing roadway markings, cleaning the roadway surface, and applying new epoxy pavement markings. Please be aware that paint will be wet following application and drivers should avoid driving on the roadway lines.

Striping activities are dependent on weather and other unforeseen factors permitting. The project is anticipated to be complete by the end of August. Crews will be working from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

While crews are working, travelers can expect reduced speeds, and single-lane traffic through the project area. For the most up-to-date width restrictions and road conditions, visit 511mt.net.

The public is encouraged to contact Joan Redeen at 406-396-1978 with any questions or comments.
