Reserve Drive – Hutton Ranch Road to Whitefish Stage Road – Construction Paused for Winter
MDT, in partnership with the City of Kalispell, Schellinger Construction, and DJ&A Engineering, will pause work for the winter season on the Reserve Drive – Hutton Ranch Road to Whitefish Stage Road project. US 93 West of Whitefish – Construction Paused for Winter
MDT and Knife River – Mountain West Division have paused work for the winter season on the US 93 West of Whitefish project. Reconstruction activities begin near the intersection with Mountainside Drive and extend approximately 3 miles west to just past Livermore Flats. Work will resume in spring 2026. Sportsman’s Bridge-Bigfork – Construction Continues through Winter
MDT and Sletten Construction will continue work on replacing Sportsman’s Bridge on Montana Highway 82 (MT 82) northwest of Bigfork throughout the winter, as weather permits. Crews will focus on building the bridge’s foundation, which includes the piers in the waterway.
Minimal traffic disruption is expected on MT 82, and speed limits will remain reduced to 35 mph within the project area.
Work will pause for Thanksgiving from Thursday, November 27, through Sunday, November 30. There will also be breaks during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, with exact dates to be determined. For more information, visit mdt.mt.gov/pubinvolve/flathead/.
US 93: Treeline Road and Wyoming Street – Project Substantially Complete
MDT, in partnership with Stillwater Electric Inc. and Knife River, announces substantial project completion at the intersection of U.S. Highway 93 (US 93) with Treeline Road, with final project striping to be completed in spring 2026.
