BIG Sky, Mont. - The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and project partners continue to make strides on the US 191/MT 64 Optimization Plan, an effort aimed at enhancing safety, mobility, and infrastructure along one of southwest Montana’s most traveled corridors. Multiple transportation improvement projects are currently underway between Four Corners and Big Sky, each with unique objectives and timelines. To keep residents and travelers informed, several resources are available to provide consistent and accessible updates on corridor-related activities.
“These projects are about more than roadway changes,” Geno Liva, MDT Butte District Administrator, said. “They’re about improving reliability, enhancing safety, and supporting growth in responsible ways.”
The US 191/MT 64 Optimization Plan website serves as a comprehensive hub for project information. Here, the public can access project details, interactive maps, project timelines, and understand how this effort will enhance Montana’s transportation system.
