HAMILTON, Mont. — The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is announcing and inviting the public to comment on a proposal that will replace the bridge that crosses the Bitterroot River on US Highway 93 (US 93) about 3 miles south of Hamilton at mile marker 43.
Proposed work includes bridge replacement and road work. The purpose of the project is to construct a new bridge that meets current design standards.
Construction is tentatively planned in 2030 depending on completion of design and availability of funds.
Partnering with the community is an important part of properly planning for future projects. MDT welcomes the public to provide ideas and comments on the proposed project. Comments may be submitted online at mdt.mt.gov/contact/comment-form.aspx or in writing to Montana Department of Transportation, Missoula office, PO Box 7039, Missoula, MT 59807-7039.
