BILLINGS, Mont.: The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) has released the draft Corridor Study Report and draft Access Management Plan documents for the Montana 3 Billings Corridor Study. These documents are now available for public review. The public comment period will be open through February 23, 2026.
The draft Corridor Study Report provides a comprehensive long-range plan for managing the corridor and identifies improvement options based on needs, public and agency input, and financial feasibility. The draft Access Management Plan provides guidance for the management of access points and spacing along MT 3 as development, redevelopment, and construction projects occur over time.
The study began in January 2025, and the final versions of the documents are anticipated to be completed in March 2026, following the public review period.
