ST. REGIS, Mont. — The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is announcing and inviting the public to comment on a proposal that will rehabilitate 14 bridges across approximately 6.5 miles of Interstate 90 (I-90) east of St. Regis between mile markers 33 and 40.
Proposed work includes deck and bearing rehabilitation work, new pavement markings, and guardrail upgrades as needed. Additionally, bridges spanning the St. Regis River, St. Regis Interchange (Exit 33), and other structures within the project limits will be evaluated for routine preservation work.
The purpose of the project is to extend the service life of the interstate structures.
Construction is tentatively planned in 2029, depending on completion of design and availability of funds.
Partnering with the community is an important part of properly planning for future projects. MDT welcomes the public to provide ideas and comments on the proposed project. Comments may be submitted online at mdt.mt.gov/contact/comment-form.aspx or in writing to Montana Department of Transportation, Missoula office, PO Box 7039, Missoula, MT 59807-7039. Please note that comments are for project UPN 9988000.
