UPDATE: The width restriction and mile marker numbers have been corrected since first publication.
LEWISTOWN, Mont. — The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and its partner L&J Construction are beginning the Missouri River Bridge Decks project on US Highway 191 (US 191) north of Lewistown.
Two structures will be rehabilitated as part of this project:
- Armells Creek Bridge at mile marker 86.48
- Fred Robinson Bridge at mile marker 88.06
Travelers should expect traffic control through the project area. Please follow all posted signage, and expect reduced speeds, temporary traffic signals, and 10-to-15-minute delays. A 9-foot width restriction will be in place, and wide loads are advised to find an alternate route.
Construction is expected to begin in the week of May 11 and be completed in September, weather and other unforeseen factors permitting.
The public is encouraged to contact Public Involvement Specialist Natalee Stout at 406-444-6021 or email mdtprojectpi@mt.gov with questions or comments about the project.
