ROY, Mont. — The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and its partner Riverside Contracting are beginning the Roy – West Pavement Preservation project in May, weather and other unforeseen factors permitting.

Work will occur on US Highway 191 (US 191) between mile markers 26.6 and 35. The work includes milling the existing roadway, applying a new overlay, and finishing with a seal and cover (chip seal). A digout will also be excavated and repaved near Romundstad Road (mile marker 29.4)

Travelers should expect traffic control through the project area. Please follow all posted signage, and expect reduced speeds, temporary traffic signals or flaggers, and 10-to-15-minute delays.
