GRANT, Mont. — The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and Jeffery Contracting are resurfacing 15 miles of Secondary Highway 324 (S 324), west of Grant in Beaverhead County. The project begins at the west end of Grant, at mile marker 13.2, and extends to mile marker 27.8, where the road turns to gravel.

Construction is planned to begin the week of July 6 and last for approximately one month, weather and other unforeseen factors permitting.

Construction activities include a crack seal followed by seal and cover (chip seal) and pavement markings. The purpose of the project is to extend the service life of the roadway.

Motorists should expect temporary traffic lights and pilot cars guiding traffic, reduced speeds, and 15-minute delays when traveling through the project area. Please follow all posted signage and watch for workers. For the most up-to-date information, visit 511mt.net

The public is encouraged to contact MDT Public Involvement at 406-444-6021 or mdtprojectpi@mt.gov with questions about the project.
