Notice of Adoption of New Rules
Effective September 26, 2026, the department adopts New Rules 1 - 3 with revisions, and New Rule 4 as proposed. The rules can be found in Title 18, Chapter 5, subchapter 2 of the Administrative Rules of Montana.
These rules outline the criteria and process for assessing impact fees on platted residential developments as provided for in Senate Bill 553 (2025), § 1(2), codified as Mont. Code Ann. 76-3-512.
